The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, reporting to the CFO, is responsible for the short and long-term financial forecasting and performance reporting. The Director of FP&A will work to provide analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision making. The Director will also build the annual budget and long-range plan through effective coordination across the company of the development of targets assumptions and strategic initiatives.
What you’ll be doing at Supreme:
Lead preparation of monthly and quarterly management and board reporting package presentations.
Ensure all reporting packages for all entities are completed and submitted timely including income statements, cash flow and capital expenditure reporting requirements.
Prepare variance analysis of monthly results to plan and prior year results with complete understanding of gross margin variances and movements in operational expenses.
Maintain corporate financial forecast.
Develop understanding of the business drivers of the various aspects of operations so as to be able to proactively identify areas of risk and opportunity to be addressed.
Support review of new channel and market opportunities with financial and strategic analysis.
Create ad hoc reporting, analysis, and management of projects as necessary.
To excel in this role, you need:
Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field required.
8+ years’ experience in financial management with progressively increasing senior positions and responsibilities in reporting, particularly in a corporate FP&A role.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, lead and work with a variety of stakeholders.
Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint functions, with an emphasis on financial modeling.
Strong analytical, decision making, and project management skills with attention to detail.
Experience in manufacturing/consumer packaged goods (CPG) is a must. Experience in the Cannabis industry is a plus.
CPA preferred, but not essential.
Experience with SAP Financials is required.
Passion for improving global wellness through cannabis.
Travel within Canada may be regularly required.
