POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the CFO, the Manager, Subsidiary Reporting and Compliance will be responsible for overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting of all subsidiaries. The Manager, Subsidiary Reporting and Compliance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial controls and monthly operational reviews of subsidiaries.

The canadaite will work closely with senior management and be a key contributor to the financial strategic team and Supreme as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overseeing financial reporting for each subsidiary and ensure compliance with accounting policies, financial controls and business practices
  • Develop and execute rotating audits of financial transactions and controls for each subsidiary
  • Establish standard financial operating procedures and financial controls for new subsidiaries
  • Assist in developing strategic financial goals for new subsidiaries
  • Develop and in-depth understanding of subsidiary operations, review budget and actual analysis and summarize findings, including identifying financial risks and opportunities
  • Act as controller of new subsidiaries until finance team is established and trained
  • Assist in compiling compliance documents to be submitted to regulators and the TSX.V

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five years of experience in public accounting and/or progressive industry positions
  • University degree in accounting and a CPA designation in good standing
  • Detailed oriented and an ability to identify route causes of issues
  • Strong technical IFRS knowledge and ICFR environment requirements
  • Experience in managing and coaching junior employees
  • Ability to concurrently manage various projects and provide accurate status updates to senior management
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, coupled with self-starter and self-learning capabilities
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced and constantly changing environments
  • Proficiency in MS 365 or MS Office applications
  • SAP/SAP S4HANNA experience is an asset
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Must be passionate about the cannabis industry
